UPDATED 01.20.2002

Change Log:

1.0.42:

  • Fixed 1:1 and 3:2 Pulldown modes for perfect sync
(I'd like to point out that subrip adds 10 ms to each subtitle start time)

  • Verified that SubRip 0.97b Works

  • Tutorial
This program simply converts the I-Author script to a Scenarist NT compatible format, this is only useful for making Mini DVDs or DVDs.

Use SubRip x.xx, I wrote this using 0.94b, which is out of date, but works great, so, thats what I use.

  • Open up the vobs in subrip, and when you begin ripping, leave the color pallete order to the I-author format (default), then, select the subs to be resized as 720x480, or whatever your video res is (480x480, 352x480, etc). Be sure to save in 4 bit bmp format too, you'll need close to 200 MBs to rip this way, but Scenarist doesnt support different sized subs (correct me if I'm wrong). Also this method is quicker then finding the largest image and centering, but it takes up more hard drive space, I may add an option to find the largest image and center based on that to a later version, but it will be slower, and I don't need it. Position your subs in the image as you like, and rip.
  • Make sure to save the *.txt file, or i-author script.

  • Now, you can use S3Converter to convert the script to a Scenarist compatible *.sst script.
    -ENJOY! :)
